Feedback

- Week 2 [ 30/04/25 ]

General Feedback:

We having Week 2 Lecture which is Usability

Specific Feedback:
The arrangement is good (don't be fancy), take note that some title should be in bold together.

- Week 3 [ 07/05/25 ]

General Feedback:

We having Week 3 Lecture which is Understanding Website Structure

Specific Feedback:
I showed Mr. Shamsul the chosen website to replicate of my final project which is https://www.greenchairrecycling.com/ and he suggests that [ contact us ] button should be clearly visible so that the website merchant can be easy to reach out. Besides, we shouldn't change the contents of the website but to improve and arrange it in a better way.

Reflection

Findings

Throughout the project, I discovered that many modern websites rely heavily on custom or web-hosted fonts to establish brand identity. I learned how small changes in font weight, spacing, or line height can significantly impact the perception of the website’s professionalism and usability. I also found that some sites use modified or self-hosted fonts that aren’t publicly available, which required making informed approximations using freely available fonts.

Observation

In my observations, not all fonts are freely available or clearly identifiable. Sometimes we have to find the closest match based on shape, weight, and x-height. Attention to spacing, padding, and element alignment is just as important as font choice in achieving visual accuracy.

Experience

Working on the web replication project was both challenging and rewarding. The main objective was to recreate an existing website as closely as possible, paying attention to layout and typography. One of the most demanding parts of the project was matching the exact look and feel of the original design, especially when it came to identifying and implementing the correct fonts. It involved careful inspection using browser developer tools and external resources such as font recognition tools or sites like WhatFont and Google Fonts. The process deepened my attention to design details and improved my debugging and inspection techniques.
