Throughout this assignment, I gained valuable experience using Photoshop and Adobe After Effects to bring 'Your Road, Your Rhythm' to life. Photoshop allowed me to manipulate and merge various images seamlessly, combining photography with symbolic elements like the road, mouths, glowing hands, and radiant background.
In Photoshop, I refined my skills in layer management, blending modes, and texture application, helping to create a visually dynamic and symbolic composition. Working with these tools improved my understanding of how to combine real-life photography with surreal elements to communicate abstract concepts like self-expression and individuality.
Adobe After Effects provided the opportunity to add motion and depth, giving life to the glowing hands and other key elements of the artwork. I used After Effects to animate the hands reaching out, subtly reinforcing the idea of guidance and support. This process helped me explore how motion can amplify a message and engage the viewer on a deeper level.
This assignment was a great exercise in blending technical skill with artistic expression, and it taught me how to use digital tools to enhance the narrative of my artwork. I’m more confident in creating dynamic, surreal compositions and incorporating motion into my designs, and I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the ways digital media can be used to convey complex ideas and emotions.
