Basic understanding of Adjustment Layer

- When you add an adjustment layer to your image, a new layer will appear over your image and a Properties panel specific to the type of adjustment you’ve selected will pop up

- The Properties panel will allow you to modify your adjustment layer, which in turn will modify your image

PEN TOOL EXERCISE (BEST COMPOSITION)

figure 2.1- best composition

DESCRIPTION:

My collage combines realism with surrealism, featuring a modern institutional building at the center. The clean lines of the building contrast with a large golden fish floating above, adding a dreamlike element and highlighting the contrast between nature and human-made structures. In the foreground, three people go about everyday activities, like exiting a door and carrying a football and shopping bags, bringing a sense of daily life to the scene. Textured layers, including wooden surfaces, add depth, creating an interesting mix of the ordinary and the surreal.

DESCRIPTION:

My collage creates a vivid interplay between realism and surrealism, with a dominant orange hue unifying the elements. At its center is a modern building which has clean, neutral lines contrasting sharply with the warm, glowing orange of the large golden fish floating above, adding a surreal and almost ethereal quality. The orange tones are echoed throughout the collage, from the fish to the subtle textures and lighting around the figures in the foreground, who engage in everyday activities like exiting a door and carrying a football and shopping bags. This orange hue ties together the different layers, creating a sense of warmth and energy, while the contrast between the rigid architecture and the surreal, organic forms brings depth and intrigue to the scene.
